FanDuel, a leading online gaming company, has just announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). This strategic alliance solidifies FanDuel’s commitment to women’s sports and takes the PWHL to new heights.

What is FanDuel Offering?

As the official sportsbook of the PWHL, FanDuel will provide fans with a seamless and exciting betting experience. It has also become an exclusive in-app streaming partner in the US. FanDuel will stream up to 90 regular-season games and playoffs live on its app.

Fans will be able to wager on a variety of markets, including game outcomes, player performance, and prop bets. This partnership will enhance fan engagement and contribute to the growth and popularity of women’s hockey.

In a statement from Dale Hooper, the General Manager of FanDuel, it was said,

This partnership is about creating a new era of fan engagement—one that brings hockey closer to fans while helping grow the visibility of women’s professional sports.

The PWHL is a professional women’s ice hockey league featuring some of the world’s top female hockey players. The league is committed to providing its fans with exciting and competitive hockey, and this partnership with FanDuel will help achieve that goal.

The partnership is a significant milestone for both FanDuel and the WPHL. It highlights the growing popularity of women’s sports and the increasing interest in sports betting. Combining the excitement of women’s hockey with the thrill of sports betting, this collaboration promises to deliver a unique and engaging experience for fans.

FanDuel’s collaboration adds to its growing list of high-profile sports partnerships. In October, it was reported that the company joined forces with EuroLeague Basketball, bringing Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games to US audiences. FanDuel now airs one game from each EuroLeague Regular Season round, including marquee matchups.

PWHL Season Kicks Off

The league’s new season kicked off just a few days ago, with the Sceptres hosting the Fleet and the Victoire hosting the Charge.

Since the league began last January, the PHWL has announced deals with Airsupra, Canadian Tire, Intact Assurance, Scotiabank, Shark, Ninja, and Woody Creek Distillers as founding partners. Inaugural premier partners include Air Canada, Bread Financial, and Royale.

Alongside FanDuel, other official partners include Aeroplan, Barbie, Bauer, CCM, Esso, EA Sports, Gatorade, Hyundai, Molson, Goodlife, Pizza Pizza, Rogers, and Tm Hortons, among others.

A quick look at the FanDuel app showed lines for Saturday’s and Sunday’s games, Walter Cup (league championship) futures, PWHL awards futures, odds on what team will make the playoffs, and even odds on what city will have a PWHL expansion team in 2025-26. Detroit had the shortest odds at -115, followed by Pittsburgh at +105 and Chicago at +200. There were also odds on which PWHL home opener would have the highest attendance.

PWHL pickup in other sportsbooks varies. For example, BetMGM and OLG’s Proline had lines for Saturday, theScore Bet is offering Walter Cup futures, and no markets were offered on NorthStar Bets and DraftKings.
